ANIMAL
ENCOUNTERS
MEET INIKO,
our Baby Patas Monkey
In this one-of-a-kind experience, you'll be among the first to see Iniko, the first patas monkey hand-reared in North America!
Born June 8, Iniko has been under the expert care of husband and wife animal team Zoo Curator Dan Meates and Zookeeper Leisje Meates after her mother, Becca, passed away due to renal failure shortly after Iniko's birth.
Here's your chance to watch Iniko in action and speak directly with her caregivers.
During this private experience, you will learn about primate conservation,
the daily care required to raise Iniko and the plans to introduce her to
her extended family of patas monkeys, known as a troop.
NOTE: Due to health restrictions, there will be a barrier between participants and the baby monkey.
Encounter: 30 - 45 minutes
For more information on this limited-time opportunity or to reserve your encounter,
