3 Ways You Can Help

While the Rosamond Gifford Zoo is closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19, our animal care team is hard at work ensuring that every animal is well-fed, exercised and enriched.

Many of you are asking how you can help.
Here are 3 easy ways to support your zoo.

1. Join our family – become a member or renew your zoo membership! A zoo membership is one of the best family entertainment values around –providing a year’s worth of exciting member benefits, experiences and memories — all waiting for you when we reopen! The clock on your annual term won’t start until we reopen, but your support today will help us get through this challenging time. Learn about membership options and benefits HERE.

2. Directly support animal care and enrichment by symbolically “adopting” an animal. For your $55 contribution to animal care, you receive a gift package that includes a 12-inch plush animal, Adopt Parent bag, animal photo and fact sheet, admission for 4 to our Member Appreciation event (date TBD) and more! Support us now with your Adopt and we’ll have your package ready as soon as we reopen. Adopt-an-Animal HERE.

3. Support us through a direct donation. No amount is too small to make a difference! Individual donations add up to ensure that every animal continues to receive the highest quality care.
Make a donation HERE.

Your generosity has never been more crucial to our cause. Thank you for your continuing support. We can’t wait to see you when we reopen!

In the meantime, follow us on Facebook for animal updates and videos.

Ways to Help

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo has closed its doors to the public and sent all non-essential staff home due to the COVID-19 health emergency.

Our animal care staff are going above and beyond to care for our zoo residents. They have come up with countless innovative ways to keep every animal in their care content and active in the absence of our visitors. I am so proud of the devotion of each and every one of them!

It is difficult to forecast when we may be able to welcome the public back. Until then, please rest assured that the animals are doing very well and we will be sharing all the exciting news of births, training accomplishments, etc. with all of you as they happen.

We are receiving inquiries from our wonderful supporters as to how they can help during this difficult time. The best way to help right now is to send us gift cards for, Wegman’s or Home Depot and Lowe’s – those are our go-to spots for enrichment items and materials, supplies, food items and treats.

If you would like to do so, please visit any of the links below to have a gift card sent to us via mail or email.
